Add-on Perch

Instead of getting a new cat tree, I got two new platforms. And they are bigger than the ones that came with the original tree. You’re very sturdy and well-made and the kitties love them because they can stretch out more. They thank you and so do I!

Original top perch for our kitty tree was 10x12 but both kitties always wanted to be on top. Subsequently changed out top perch to the largest size available and moved original perch down to next level down. Took less than 5 min. The Cats love it.

I ordered a large replacement platform for my cat tree. The part arrived quickly, and was sturdy and beautifully constructed, but it didn't have any mounting hardware or instructions for mounting. It had a hole drilled in the middle that didn't have a coupling insert to screw onto anything. I would have had to be a master craftsman to mount it. I contacted sales and service (maybe I should have contacted customer service), and was told that I needed to order the mounting hardware separately. The problem was that there were several different sizes available online, and the platform didn't have any specifications with it. I was told I needed to order W5. Even if I ordered W5, the piece had seemed unfinished. A bolt alone without a coupling would not fasten it securely. The platform only cost $20, and I didn't want to go to the trouble of shipping it back for a refund, though none was offered. I decided to use my ingenuity. I kept my old platform, which did have a mounting coupling in it, and tore the edge off of it, then I used industrial velcro strips to secure the new platform onto the old platform. Problem solved! My cat loves it. I told the sales representative that the company could significantly improve the product if the parts included hardware or at least specifications for what hardware is needed. I would give it a 5 if it had this practical feature. Armarkat: Please specify that you also need the hardware, and it will be shipped to you free of charge. For a replacement piece, it is assumed that you still have the original hardware.

Although usable, what I received was a complete square, not the one with a corner cut off as pictured nor does it have faux fur, but carpet Armarkat: This perch is a complete square with a corner cut out. Also, it is only available in either faux fur or fleece, not carpet. Please check to make sure you ordered the proper perch.

I started to return this perch. Here's why.... My cat doesn't sleep in the bed anymore. She doesn't want to play anymore either. All she wants to do is lay on her new perch. She loves it!!! I did get the biggest one available because she seems to have grown in every way. Not only is it soft but she doesn't hang off it so much anymore. Again, she loves it!

Perch was everything I expected from this company. It was quality just as everything else on this cat tree.

I needed a larger platform for my cat. She loved it right away.

We've had our Armarkat tree since my almost 3-year old cats were little kittens, and they love it. Particularly the shelf that looks out over the front window. Unfortunately, they like that shelf so much, they'd de-upholstered a corner of it. I was concerned they'd get fiber strings in their tummies, so I removed the shelf and switched over another one into that spot. I went into the website, not really expecting to find a replacement, but there it was! We're all very pleased. Shipping was fast, and they're happily sitting on it already. Thanks! I purchased the Armarkat B5701 Cat Tree with two standard perches. Needless to say, my long 14 plus lb. Russian Blue hung over in several places. Today the larger perch came, and it wasn't long before she was stretched out with only a tail hanging over the side. I am delighted and she is a very happy big cat.
