I, or I should say our cats Maya and Zeus, have loved this cat tree from the moment it arrived a little over 8 years ago. I have replaced the scratching posts several times, but this time replaced shelf F because the nap of the fabric had flattened to the point that the hardware in the middle of the shelf was protruding and was worried that an overly squirmy cat might get cut rubbing against the shelf. I have been pleased with the durability and the ease of replacing the parts. It took me the same amount of time to round up the tools as to take apart and reinstall the new shelf. Maya and Zeus give it 2 paws up!

After 9 years, my cats eventually destroyed two of the rope pedestals. This is a good thing being that the cats use there claws to exercise and stretch the muscles in their arms and back. This contributes to good cat health and facilitates natural cat behavior. The replacement parts fit perfectly and were easy to install.

The reason I had to replace this Q pole is because my cat always used that one to scratch on. My product is only 2 years old and all the cord that the cat uses to scratch on unraveled, which caused me to have to purchase another Q pole. Armarkat should look to the quality of that issue. I sure hope I don’t have to keep replacing that pole every 1-2 yrs. From Armarkat: Heidi, this is because the cat won't scratch on any of the other posts. Try getting kitty interested in those! Actually, with extreme usage, 2 years isn't bad. Plus, Armarkat is the only manufacturer that carries replacement parts. Other vendors would have you replace the entire tree!

I purchased my cat tree nearly 10 yrs ago. My cats love it and use it constantly. The fact I can easily get the replacement parts at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner means my furniture is safe! I recommend making your cat tree purchase here 100%!
