Posts were replaced, and renewed the cat tree for many more years for now and future cats.

So far, I have had to replace 2 of the posts because the cats rip through them and unravel them. We repair them using a hot glue gun, which holds much better than the slight adhesive that is on the pole from the manufacturer. These are costly items at $22.00 + shipping, but what else can you do? I guess you could just unwind the entire pole, buy new twine, glue and wrap it yourself, but what a hassle! ARMARKAT: You are paying for specially seasoned sisal scratching posts that most brands do not offer. We would not suggest twine and glue for your cats. Armarkat posts are safe; moreover, they are designed to attract cats to them.

My cats shred these posts. They seem to like the bottom one on the front right and have torn the twine rope off. WE hot glued it back on twice, but in the end, had to purchase a new one.

Love this cat tree, had it for years and one of the posts was starting to break (this is the one that gets the most use) so i just replaced that post and it's good as new.....we have four cats and they all love it!

Having 3 exuberant nail-sharpening cats that love this cat tree over my furniture is a blessing. Fortunately, I can get reasonably priced replacement parts when the claws take their toll on the posts. If I wasn't so lazy, I could probably re-wrap the old worn out ones, but like I said, I'm lazy. I got 4 replacement posts that should hold me until next year. It's nice to not have to replace the whole tree for a worn out post.

My 11-pound cat loves to jump to the top platform at full speed from a nearby chair. Finally, after nearly three years, the support post started to wear out. It's great that Armarkat sells spare parts so I can repair the expensive cat tree rather than replace the whole thing. That's the kind of customer-focused business that will keep me coming back.

I have two cats, one of whom is blind. The blind cat especially loves the cat tree but I noticed he had a bit of difficulty coming down from the very top platform as he had to reach quite a way to find the next platform down. I ordered a taller "S" post and replaced a shorter "R" post with it creating a stair step effect which makes it easier for the cat to go up and down. The posts were very easy to change out. The tree has worn very well and still looks brand new after almost two years.
