Extra Large Perch

I have a 2yr. old cat and a 5 month old kitten. They both wanted to be on the top platform of their Armarkat cat tree. There wasn’t enough room. I put the new platform on and now they have plenty enough room. Everyone is happy!

Finally, a perch that is meant for a full grown cat. My cat is 17lbs, fits well, and really likes this new bed.

The Shelf that came with our cat tree was really only big enough for our smallest cat (she is about 9 1/2 lbs). The other cats (my four boys 13-20 lbs) could lay on it but they "bubbled over" the sides. We ordered the extra large perch and the big boys LOVE it! My 12 year old baby who is about 15 pounds hardly leaves it! There is room for him, his cat nip toy and his favorite mousy! Very very happy with this but wish it had come with the larger shelf instead of having to buy it separately!

This product came fast and it is well built. Fit perfect on our tree and it is the perfect size. My larger cat loves it-lots of room...

My 16 pound Bengal slipped off his cat tree in his sleep and broke his leg. Once he was recovered and went right back to the top of the tree I realized I needed something bigger to contain him so he didn't break any more limbs. These are fantastic as they enclose him completely so risk of accidental fall is almost impossible (he's a Bengal so I anticipate anything could happen though). I purchased three so all cat perches are now big enough for his needs. They were delivered super fast and are fantastic quality. Very appreciated.

Perfect for our big Maine Coon cats. Your "standard" perches are way too small for them.

I really liked the cat tree(s) I ordered but one of my cats didn't fit on the perches which came with the trees comfortably. So I ordered the larger perches. I had emailed the customer service people at Armarkat and they confirmed the larger perches would install on my trees once I removed the original, smaller perches. They were easy to swap out. Like others have mentioned, my only suggestion would be to give the buyer the option at the point of sale to get the larger perches for an extra charge, of course. And if you have hefty kitties, you might want to have the tree against a wall or at least a sturdy chair for extra stability, although I think the cats would have to work hard at actually turning it over.

My big 22lb Maine Coon used to ooze off the smaller platforms on an Armarkat (we have several); how he managed to sleep on them is beyond me. Now that I have 2 large platforms on two separate Armarkats, Red seems to know they're his and the girl cat (14lb, fits on the smaller) stays off. They go on the Classic Cat Tree easily with the already used bolts. I mix and match the Armarkats. I'm surprised that this large platform doesn't seem to make the cat tree top heavy. It is a bit wobbly, might have to fix that. Armarkat; Please remember to tighten your hardware on a weekly basis; especially with large cats.

Patches, who is my adorable little 22 1/2 pound cat doesn't realize that he's a very big boy. When he got a new Armarkat tree that has larger condos on it for him he was happy. The only problem was the perches were way too small for him and he "overflowed" over the edges. I felt bad for him being so uncomfortable and there really isn't a lot of cat products that accommodate very large cats. Armarkat is great because they make products for big kitties too. So, I decided to buy him an Extra Large Perch. He fits on his new perch just fine, takes all his cat naps there, and he's a very happy cat now. :) Thank You Armarkat !!

An awesome and much needed accessory for my Armarkat Cat Tree. Just unscrew the original shelf and screw on the new perch. It is probably as big as it can be and still be held up by the original column, and our cat is enjoying stretching out when he sleeps. I would have preferred it boxed for shipping. The envelope it came in is susceptible to rubbing marks.
