Is Your Cat Fat? Why Cat Obesity is Growing Problem...

Posted by Andrea on 9th Nov 2019

Just as with people, recent years have shown a growing trend towards overweight issues with cats. And just as with people, this trend can result in serious health issues. However, by educating themselves, cat parents can provide the proper nutrition and exercise that their furry friends need not only to survive, but to thrive.

Since one in three cats are now overweight, this issue has become epidemic. Again, as with people, the main cause of obesity is that these cats are not burning enough calories to make up for the amount of calories they are consuming. Some are eating too much, while others aren't getting enough exercise. Overweight cats may have difficulty walking or breathing. They may not tolerate heat or exercise. It is so important to address these concerns and get their pets back on the road to good health.
