I ordered two of these for my cats and they look very comfy, but so far they have not left their old bed to try out these new beds but they are very picky. Guess I will have to take away the old beds and force them to give these a try. I know they will love them when they do.
Initially I purchased it to see if my two cats would use it. They took to it immediately and ended up fighting over who would use it. Just received my second one in the mail today. This is perfect for subzero temperatures we've been experiencing where I live. Both of them were snuggled up in their caves when I left for work this morning. Very well made product and a steal at $22.00. My next purchase will be the dog cave bed for my beagle--he's a burrower!
The bed was ordered not for a cat but a Jack Russell Dachshund mix who loves to burrow under the covers. It came folded flat but opened fully. Our mutt was initially skeptical but now enjoys sleeping in it. It is perfect for a short hair dog in a house my wife air-conditions too cold.
Our 12 year old cat noticed the new kitty bed immediately. Two minutes later, she could not contain herself and stepped into it. I could hear purring, and within 30 seconds she was kneading (still purring). She has come out twice for a few minutes, but "involuntarily" heads right back into the little cat cave. She has been in there for well over an hour and looks very content. I'm so happy to have made this purchase. It is winter, and she has trouble staying warm enough. I have positioned her "cave" so that she can look across the dining room and see out the french doors. This cat bed will keep her toasty warm. It took a few hours for our one year old cat "BABY" to get into his new bed, but once he did he has enjoyed it immensely for several hours!!!I think it is very well-constructed with very soft material. I thought it would be a little larger, but my husband said this size is adequate.
One of my cats really likes to cuddle up in "covered" places (like under the blankets). She really likes this bed and uses it often. Highly recommend, especially if your cat tends to look for places that are covered in some way. It's also easy to wash and very soft.
