"I purchased this tree about 2-1/2 years ago and it has just been fantastic. I have two cats, both very energetic, and they love to leap up on it and chase each other around. They use the sisal posts for scratching. One cat will sit upon the 'apartment' and bat at the other inside through the door and window. I folded up old towels (my cats love terry cloth) and put them on the perches which they use for sleeping during the day. The only things I modified: removed the rope - cats weren't interested and it got in the way of them leaping through the hole; took off the top perch as it was too close to the ceiling and I worried about one of the cats tumbling off from that height (instead I placed that perch upside down in another part of the house and the cats use it as a scratching post so no waste). I definitely recommend this model!"

"My cat has spent the last year tearing up and down and around on this tree, and it looks just as good as the day I first put it together. She's a large Ragdoll, 20 lbs., and nothing she's been able to do on it yet has rocked the stability of this tree, or stressed the quality materials from which its made. I want to stress the quality of the materials, both the solid wood parts that the platforms, supports and house are made from, as well as the sisal wrapping on the poles, which she climbs up and down like they're trees with no shredding or fraying, and the fleece covering, which is easy to vacuum, cleans with foam carpet spray, and is still soft, snuggly and mat-free. The color is also tastefully neutral, and blends right into my home decor. You won't be disappointed, and your kitties will love it!"

"We have two Chartreux who LOVE their tower. It was easy and fun to put together with my then eight-year old daughter. They've managed to knock over the entire tower twice. If they both run up the tower at the same time chasing one another they can knock it off balance. It is quite a sight to see the expressions on their faces as they realize the tower is falling over. So you might want to put some heavy books or something to add stability to this tower, just in case. They love to scratch on the sisal-covered posts and having two high-up platforms spells cat heaven. A very good value. I could not build this out of parts from Home Depot for the same amount of money. Shows some wear and tear after several years, but that's a sign that it's been well-used."

"I was shopping for a new cat tree and I purchased this cat tree about 3-4 years ago. It has been the best cat tree. I need to get out my vacuum and the small shampooer and go to town. It is quite dirty. I have shampooed it several times over the last couple of years. I keep it on my closed in porch but my cats are indoor/outdoor cats so they can get it quite dirty but they love it. I just need another because I now have 8 cats and one is just not enough. It is sturdy and has held up perfectly, however, I don't have any 18 pound cats. Now my brother-in-law has one 27 lbs. It's quite sad to see a cat that fat. But this is a great cat tree and deserves a 5 for the normal size feline. LOL!"

"I love the quality of the fleece on this product. It's also offered at an excellent price. However, less than a year after purchase, I have to replace Part C. This is the flat part on the second level, with the hole in it. The issue is that my fat cat (18 lbs), often jumps onto the perch, and then leaps into the "house" part. All the jumping has caused Part C to crack, making the perch unstable. Also, a persistent kitty can easily destroy the toys that are included, but that's not such a big deal compared to the instability of Part C."
